The reporter learned that Shanghai Shenneng Power Science and Technology Co., Ltd. is a holding subsidiary of Shenneng Co., Ltd. and the supporting unit of Shanghai Clean Coal Power Engineering and Technology Research Center, which is mainly engaged in providing thermal power units with customized solutions for energy saving, carbon reduction, deep peak adjustment and other comprehensive upgrading and transformation, or integrated optimization of newly-built units and loading of special technologies.
The “Turbine High-Low Split Shaft Arrangement Secondary Reheat Technology” demonstrated in the on-site technical video was invented by Prof. Feng Weizhong, General Manager of Shanghai Shenneng Electric Power Technology Company Limited, and is the first of its kind in the world with independent intellectual property rights. This technology can significantly shorten the high-temperature and high-pressure steam pipeline between the boiler and the steam engine, releasing the space for the development of high-parameter secondary reheat and further improving the efficiency of secondary reheat technology.
The technology has been applied in the national demonstration project-Shenergy Anhui Pingshan Power Plant Phase II to build a new 1,350MW secondary reheat unit with high and low level split shaft arrangement, which has been formally put into operation in April 2022, and its standard coal consumption for power supply at rated operating conditions has historically broken the 260g/kWh and 250g/kWh marks in a row to reach 249.31g/kWh, dramatically setting a new record for the standard coal consumption for power supply at rated operating conditions at 260g/kWh and 250g/kWh, which is the highest among all the coal consumption units in China. Kilowatt-hour, significantly refreshing the world record, for the current domestic and foreign coal power units of the optimal level, set up a new benchmark for international coal power.
Shanghai Shenneng Power Science & Technology Co., Ltd. also displayed advanced projects such as “China Resources Xuzhou 320MW high-temperature subcritical unit comprehensive upgrading project” and “China Resources Caofeidian new 2×1050MW ultra-supercritical unit technical consultation and energy saving and emission reduction technology integration project”.
