The 2024 National University Business Elite Challenge International Trade Competition Cross-border E-commerce Track National Elite Competition and National University Cross-border E-commerce Talent Double-selection Meeting (Dongguan Station) was recently held in Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. At the opening ceremony, Ren Guiying said that the prosperous development of cross-border e-commerce cannot be separated from the cultivation and support of excellent talents. The cross-border e-commerce competition settled in Dongguan will give full play to the advantages of Dongguan National Comprehensive Pilot Zone for Cross-border E-commerce Demonstration Carrier, and make outstanding contributions to the development of cross-border e-commerce field in China with the help of Dongguan's perfect industrial chain foundation, superior geographic location and favorable business environment.


Xing Wenju said that relying on Dongguan's strong product manufacturing capacity, the city's cross-border e-commerce product supply involves more than 4,000 categories, and is an important source of global cross-border e-commerce. Dongguan Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government have introduced a number of policies and measures to support the development of cross-border e-commerce industry in the past two years, and have successfully introduced leading platforms such as Jingdong, Cainiao, and Meichengduo to land in Dongguan. It is hoped that through this event, more enterprises in Dongguan will be promoted to establish a talent delivery mechanism with universities across the country to provide cross-border e-commerce enterprises with a steady stream of talent support.


As a key event in the National Collegiate Business Elite Challenge, this year's cross-border e-commerce track attracted more than 4,000 teams from 310 colleges and universities in 29 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government. After layers of selection, 100 outstanding teams finally stood out and gathered at the scene of the National Elite Competition. In addition to examining the professional knowledge and operational skills of the contestants, the competition also focuses on cultivating the ability of the contestants to combine practical application and innovative thinking, injecting new vitality into the cultivation of high-quality professional talents for the future cross-border e-commerce industry.
