On December 18, the 4th General Meeting of Chengdu International Chamber of Commerce (CICC) was held. More than 200 people attended the meeting, including representatives from CCPIT, Sichuan ICC, Meishan ICC, Chengdu Municipal Party Committee Social Work Department, Chengdu Civil Affairs Bureau, Chengdu Federation of Industry and Commerce, Chengdu Overseas Chinese Federation, Chengdu Center for the Promotion of Open-Door Cooperation, Chengdu Bank, Chengdu Farmers and Merchants Bank, as well as representatives of Chengdu districts and counties' business and trade promotion departments, and representatives of Chengdu ICC's member units. Mr. Zhong Qian, Vice Chairman of Chengdu Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Vice Chairman of Chengdu International Chamber of Commerce (CICC), presided over the meeting.


At the meeting, Mr. Su Hong, the third Vice President of CICC, presented the “Report on the Work of the Fourth General Meeting of the Chengdu International Chamber of Commerce” on behalf of the third Council, reviewing the work of the third Council in terms of expanding the international market, conducting investment promotion, assisting in the construction of human resources, optimizing commercial services, stabilizing foreign investment and foreign trade, and assuming social responsibility. Over the past five years, with the concern of the Party committees and governments at all levels in Chengdu and the support of people from all walks of life, the Chamber has actively organized more than 40 batches of more than 500 Chengdu enterprises to participate in exhibitions outside China, in particular, the first time to hold the 2024 Tianfu Kungfu Carnival “Made in Chengdu” Fine Products Exhibition in Chile, as well as the supporting exhibition In particular, the Chengdu-Santiago Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference was held in Chile for the first time, and the 2024 Seychelles (Chengdu) International Economic and Trade Expo was held in Seychelles. In addition, more than 30 economic and trade exchanges were held in Chengdu, especially the China-EU Investment, Trade and Technology Cooperation Fair and the China-Japan-Korea (Chengdu) Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Economic and Trade Innovation Conference, which promoted the economic and trade cooperation between Chengdu and 20 countries and regions, and the work of the Chamber has achieved remarkable results. At the same time, the Chamber actively undertook social responsibilities and carried out public welfare activities such as caring for handicapped children, which enhanced the social influence of the Chamber.

The report puts forward the work ideas and objectives of the 4th Council of the Chamber, which will adhere to the tenet of “Serving Members, Serving Enterprises and Serving the Government”, implement the principles of “Openness, Specialization and Digitization”, and actively explore ways to build a new relationship with the global economy under the new global economic pattern, with innovation as the core driving force. Under the new pattern of global economy, with innovation as the core driving force, the Chamber will actively explore the construction of a new service management system that is deeply integrated with the global economy, promote the modernization and transformation of the Chamber, and help Chengdu's economy to develop with high quality and sustainable growth.


Subsequently, all members deliberated and approved the “Revised Constitution of Chengdu ICC”, “List of Members to be Nominated for Admission to the Chengdu ICC”, “List of Directors to be Nominated for the 4th Session of the Chengdu ICC” and “List of Supervisors to be Nominated for the 4th Session of the Chengdu ICC”, and 85 business associations and organizations and enterprises joined the Chamber as new members. The First Council of the Fourth Session of the Chamber was held to elect the new leadership of the Chamber. Pan Xuesong was elected President, Su Hong, Zhong Qian and Gao Min were elected Vice-Presidents, Wang Ou was elected Secretary General, and Deng Bo and He Yi were elected Vice-Secretaries General. Finally, the first Supervisory Committee of the fourth session of the Chamber was held, and Beijing Tianchi Juntai (Chengdu) Law Firm was elected as the head of the Supervisory Committee.


In the next step, Chengdu ICC will give full play to its role as a bridge and link, relying on the advantages of the China Chamber of International Commerce and other external liaison channels, maintaining close contact with international economic and trade organizations, business associations and institutions, strengthening international cooperation and exchanges, deepening cooperation among chamber members, enhancing services and support for enterprises, and improving the chamber's self-construction. Further increase the layout of exhibitions in the “Belt and Road” countries, as well as in the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa and other regions, expand the scale of outreach organizations, and organize more batches and more enterprises to participate in exhibitions abroad. Actively plan to hold the 2025 Milan Fashion Week - Panda Country Cultural and Creative Excellence Exhibition, China (Sichuan)-Uzbekistan International Commodities Fair, 2025 Thailand - China (Sichuan) Excellence Shopping Festival in Italy, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Tanzania, Indonesia, etc. 2025 Rongyao Silk Road - Chengdu Tanzania Characteristic Home Furnishing Exhibition, 2025 Indonesia - Ba Shu International Retail Premium Exhibition and other self-organized exhibitions, injecting new vitality into the deep integration of “Rongshang Going to Sea, Revitalizing Rongshang”, and assisting Chengdu City in the high-quality development of its export-oriented economy.
