On November 26, 2024, the 2nd China International Chain Fair (hereinafter referred to as “Chain Fair”) was opened in China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Pavilion). This year's Chain Fair has a stronger degree of specialization, and focuses on displaying new products, new technologies, new processes and new materials of each chain.

As a member of the organizer, I have seriously completed my work in the delivery and accommodation group, and used the break time to visit and learn from the advanced manufacturing chain, and one of the experiences has touched me a lot. During the visit, I noticed an exhibitor named China Sinochem Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “Sinochem Group”), which is a large-scale central enterprise with a business scope covering eight major fields, including life sciences, material sciences, petrochemicals, environmental sciences, rubber and tires, machinery and equipment, urban operations, industrial finance, etc. It has a presence in more than 150 countries around the world. With production bases and R&D facilities in more than 150 countries and regions around the world, Sinochem Group had booths in both advanced manufacturing chain and green agriculture chain, and its exhibits caught my attention.

The design of Sinochem's booth was quite distinctive, with one corner designed in the shape of an airplane's head and the other part resembling a fuselage structure, which attracted the attention of participants. Through the visit, I found that Sinochem Group's advanced manufacturing chain not only showcases traditional energy and chemical fields, but also includes new materials, biomedicine, construction materials and new energy, which aroused great interest among the visitors. During my visit, I noticed that there were a variety of aircraft tires on the stand, including tires for Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft, as well as tires for the domestic C919 and the latest C929 large passenger aircraft, which gave me a deeper understanding of the company's industrial layout from the chemical and energy industries to the manufacture of high-end aircraft tires. In addition to displaying finished tires, the booth also displayed raw material rubber and its additives, which can enhance the rubber's abrasion and temperature resistance.

Through the explanation of Sinochem's on-site exhibitors, I gained a deeper understanding of the sectional model of aircraft tires. I asked the exhibitors whether Sinochem provides tires for Boeing and Airbus aircraft for domestic airlines, and the answer I got was affirmative. They have a very close working relationship with the Commercial Aircraft Group, and the supply of tires is relatively stable. Although tires are not as sophisticated as engines or navigation systems, their safety requirements are extremely high. Any failure or risk is something that airlines are not willing to bear, and I am very happy for their achievements.

During the exchange, a professional visitor, who seemed to have in-depth knowledge of China's aviation industry and state-owned enterprises, made a suggestion to the exhibitors that they should be more meticulous in the details of production and processing, and the exhibitors explained that the tires on display were in factory condition and had not been further processed, but their safety and performance were reliable. Afterwards, another professional visitor from the military industry joined the discussion. He seemed to know a lot about the stereotyping and procurement of aircraft equipment, and he discussed with the exhibitors about the stereotyping experiments and mass production and procurement of military aircraft tire models.

Their professional conversations and negotiations made me realize more intuitively that Chain Expo not only attracts participants from the civilian commercial market, but also attracts the attention of the official and military sectors, which shows the influence and importance of Chain Expo. This scene made me wonder that Chain Expo not only promotes the cooperation in the civilian commercial market, but also provides the military with the opportunity to understand the products of civilian supply chain enterprises, which may pave the way for future cooperation in national defense orders, and I hope that more domestic and foreign enterprises can find high-quality supply chain partners on the platform of Chain Expo, as well as more opportunities for business development, and really with the Chain Expo “Linking the World, Creating the Future Together”.
