In the first half of this year, China's enterprises undertaking offshore information technology outsourcing (ITO), business process outsourcing (BPO) and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) were 148.1 billion yuan, 54.5 billion yuan and 125.5 billion yuan, respectively, up 26.5%, 15.5% and 21.2% year-on-year. The demand for online business increased significantly, especially the growth rate of offshore information technology outsourcing was 23 percentage points higher than the same period last year.

The execution amount of offshore service outsourcing undertaken by Chinese enterprises is 68.4 billion yuan, 62.7 billion yuan and 40.8 billion yuan respectively, accounting for 52.4% of the execution amount of offshore service outsourcing in China. In the first half of this year, the value of Chinese enterprises undertaking offshore service outsourcing contracts from countries along the Belt and Road was 100.3 billion yuan, and the execution value was 63 billion yuan, up 50.5% and 26.7% respectively, accounting for a further increase in the proportion of the total value of offshore service outsourcing.

It is understood that in undertaking service outsourcing, foreign-invested enterprises still dominate, and private enterprises develop at a fast pace. In the first half of this year, foreign-invested enterprises undertook 241 billion yuan of offshore service outsourcing contracts, and executed 148.1 billion yuan, up 13.4% and 18.8% respectively, accounting for 48.7% and 45.2% of the national total, continuing to occupy a dominant position in the market. The amount of offshore service outsourcing contracts undertaken by private enterprises reached 124.3 billion yuan, and the execution amount reached 83.4 billion yuan, up 32.9% and 29.1% respectively compared with the same period last year, which were 10.5 and 6.6 percentage points higher than the national average growth rate respectively.

Talking about the future development direction of service outsourcing industry, Zhang Xiaotao believes that China's service outsourcing industry should cultivate new models and new business forms, relying on 5G technology, vigorously develop crowdsourcing, cloud outsourcing, platform subcontracting and other new models; We will actively promote the innovation and integrated application of the industrial Internet, foster a number of digital manufacturing outsourcing platforms, and develop new forms of business such as service-oriented manufacturing.
