The lesotho flag was launched on 4 october 2006. The ratio of length to width is 3:2. It consists of three strips: blue, white and green. there is a black Basotho cap in the middle. this is the traditional dress of Laiguo. blue represents the rain also represents the ocean, white symbolizes peace and purity, green is the rain breeds rich resources and lush vegetation of the land; these three colors are Lesotho's national motto "peace, rain, prosperity" incarnation.
